Grout Cleaning - Everybody's nightmare!
It doesn't have to be as scary as you think! I have found that the foaming spray cleaners (I especially like Lysol Power Foam), work the best on everything in your bathroom, including your dirty grout lines!
You will also need a NEW, green and yellow, heavy duty, scrubbing sponge. Rinse well before use so that all the yellow and green dye is rinsed out of the sponge before cleaning your white grout! I also use a few good quality microfiber cloths, (I like ECloth microfiber) to wipe the tiles clean after they have been scrubbed. plus a bath towel to protect your knees while scrubbing the floor and gloves to protect your hands. I have yet to find a good scrubbing brush that doesn't hurt your hands after 5 minutes or doesn't wear down the bristles after 5 minutes of scrubbing! The sponge is inexpensive, easy to handle and most versatile.
Directions:
1. Vacuum floor clean
2. Spray grout lines in a 3'x3' area with foam cleaner and let sit for 5-10 minutes.
3. Use the edge of scrubbing sponge to remove the dirt from the grout lines.
Wipe clean with yellow sponge.
4. Use microfiber cloth to finish wiping everything clean and dry.
5. Repeat steps 2 - 4, until entire floor is clean!
